Trusts

Trusts can be used for a variety of reasons.  Do you wish to avoid probate?  A revocable trust can avoid the need to probate a Last Will and Testament in Surrogate's Court at your death.  Doing so provides your family a simple, private and cost effective means of transferring assets at death to future generations.

Do you wish to protect assets from nursing home or other long-term care costs?  A Medicaid asset protection trust can be used to preserve assets from burdensome long-term care costs that arise when someone goes into a nursing home or needs homecare.

Do you have a disabled child or grandchild that is receiving Medicaid, SSI or other public benefits?  A Supplemental Needs Trust is a Trust that allows you to be able to leave money to a disabled person so that these funds can be used to pay for things that their government benefits do not cover without causing that person to lose his or her benefits.

Please contact us today to see if a Trust is appropriate for your situation.
